At ISK elementary school (Kindergarten & Grades 1-5), our major focus is on developing well-rounded, independent and responsible students. Given our small size, we use a multi-grade / multi-level style of instruction where our students are divided into two classes (KG-G2, G3-G5). All students who attend ISK Elementary School are fully encouraged to be curious and enthusiastic about learning. We strive to meet the individual needs of each of our students while simultaneously developing their self-confidence, respect for one another through constructive collaboration and an appreciation for diversity through daily interaction within a diverse community.
Middle School (Grades 6-8) & High School (Grades 9-12)
In ISK Middle & High School, learning is promoted through critical thinking, creativity and problem solving as well as application of learned knowledge rather than through rote learning.
A comprehensive American and International Curriculum has been designed for students in Middle and High School that not only serves to prepare students for university or college but to encourage them to be independent and life-long learners. In the Middle School, we also adopt the multi-grade / multi-level style of instruction with a mix of topic-based integrated inquiry learning and a wide variety of non-core subjects to allow them to make more informed decisions when choosing their path in the High School. The wide variety of subjects across Middle and High School is designed to provide students with a well-rounded learning experience. After completing Grade 12, students graduate with a High School Diploma and the necessary knowledge, skills and dispositions to take their place as leaders in a globalized world.
